About Board of Supervisors Meetings

You have a right to attend any public meeting to discuss a project, provide oral testimony, and/or submit written materials regarding matters being considered by the Board of Supervisors (BoS). There are 3 ways to submit materials to the BoS:
 

• Hard copy materials and comments (an original and 9 copies) may be submitted to the Clerk of the Board at 950 Maidu Avenue, Nevada City, CA 95959.

• Materials may be emailed to BOS.publiccomment@nevadacountyca.gov.

• Materials may be submitted through the Nevada County e-comment portal once the agenda is posted (about 5 days prior to the meeting) and no later than 4:00 p.m. on the day before the meeting.
   

As the date grows closer to the public hearing, please see the BOS agenda for information on how to provide comments during the public hearing. Written or emailed public comments received by 4:00 p.m. the day prior to the meeting will be provided to the Board members electronically or in written format and will become part of the public record. The Board Chair may place reasonable restrictions on the time allowed to any person to speak on matters before the Board of Supervisors. Typically, comments before the BOS are limited to 3 minutes.
